Duties:
- Implement behavior strategies designed to de-escalate, stabilize, and improve student behavior, attendance and academic outcomes.
- Apply student management techniques and reinforcement schedules under the supervision and direction of teacher or building principal.
- Record and summarize observed data, maintain a log, record computerized data, maintain behavior charts.
- Create positive relationships with students through student leadership opportunities (Junior Coaching, Student Council, Study Buddies) under the direction and supervision of the building principal.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary school students.
- Evidence of effective student management and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must be available before school, after school and designated days in the summer for special events, meetings and trainings.
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
