Summary
The Financial Analyst will be under general supervision, applies principles of accounting, statistical and operational analysis in order to maintain overall fiscal success including, but not limited to, variance analysis, preparing journal entries, report generation and manipulation, budgeting and costing. The position's main purpose is to provide decision support. The incumbent may assist and act in a confidential capacity to help manage, formulate, determine and effectuate management process and polices. The incumbent may attend management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around confidential management decisions.
Responsibilities
- Works with department managers and directors for decision support.Â
- Prepares journal entries as needed during monthly close process.Â
- Reports budget variances, both positive and negative, to managers, directors and/VPs.Â
- Provide documents resolution. Works with department managers and other staff in the compilation of information related to financial analysis projects and reports including profitability analysis.Â
- Trends operations and performance over time; analyzes variances and makes recommendations for process improvements and more robust internal controls.Â
- Performs analysis of various general ledger accounts as assigned.Â
- Reviews entries, verifies amounts, compiles and compares balances as to reasonableness.Â
- Assists in the facilitation of month end and year end closing.Â
- Develops and implements special projects as needed.Â
- Proforma creation and market analysis.Â
- Statistical reporting and key performance indicator capture.Â

Experience
- Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.Â
- Pharmacy Technician background is highly preferred
- Prior experience with financial analysis and Excel is highly preferred.Â
Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field is required. Employees hired into the position prior to October 1, 2023 are grandfathered for the Bachelor's degree.
