Phillips-Medisize is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate projects teams through the design and manufacturing development of projects. Project Engineers are responsible for managing technical aspects of the programs scope, schedule, and budget.
Our Team
Phillips-Medisize, LLC, a Molex company, is a leading global outsource provider of design and manufacturing services. This role will be based out of our North America Global Innovation and Development center located in Hudson, WI.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate, direct, and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimum engineering of projects/programs to meet customer and manufacturing requirements
- Interface with customers on a regular basis to resolve issues
- Facilitate communication between customer, sales, engineering functions, outside vendors, manufacturing and multi-facility groups
- Maintain cost control and profitability through interaction with the accounting group, sales and our customers
- Coordinate tooling programs from kick-off to part production readiness (customer and manufacturing approval)
- Create, monitor, maintain, and communicate the project scope, schedule, cost, and risks, ensuring that the entire team understands their role in the project success.
- Develop and establish cost estimates and project options to support quoting function
- Implement technical solutions to meet customer and Phillips-Medisize safety, quality, delivery and cost expectations
- Travel to other facilities, suppliers or customer sites may be required to support business needs
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in and Engineering related discipline with 1+ years of experience OR 4+ years of project/program management experience
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
- Familiar with ISO 13485 or regulatory requirements
- Experience using CAD to determine if tooling, equipment and part designs meet requirements
- Broad technical understanding of Phillips-Medisize and our suppliers
- Organized, Principled Entrepreneur, with good communication skills
