Job Description

Winter/Spring Co-Op

In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only will you get to know how things work in the industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as exploring full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. Responsibilities:

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with experienced engineers to develop multi-chip modules
  • Performing module prototyping tasks using a soldering iron and hot plate for component change and reworks.
  • Support engineering prototype builds of RF modules and prepares materials needed for the build
  • Troubleshooting and resolving module related issues in the lab.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians

 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM (or related) AA or BS programs
  • Commitment to working on-site for 6 months
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
  • Strong career interest in electronics and RF/microwave engineering
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Hands-on experience in a lab is highly preferred.
  • Relevant experience in soldering and RF module assembly, rework and testing is a plus.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
