Position Overview:

McQueens Flowers is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Digital Marketing and Photography Intern to join our creative team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and artistic environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for photography, and a strong interest in digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms including social media, email, and our website. Capture high-quality photographs of floral arrangements, events, and behind-the-scenes moments to be used in marketing materials. Edit and retouch photos to ensure they meet brand standards. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging content that resonates with our target audience. Help manage and grow our social media presence by scheduling posts, interacting with followers, and analysing performance metrics. Assist in the production of visual content such as videos and graphics for digital platforms. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the floral industry. Support the maintenance and updating of the company's website with fresh content and imagery. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for campaigns and promotions.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Photography, Communications, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator) or similar photo editing software as well as Canva. Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn). Basic knowledge of digital marketing principles and best practices. Strong photography skills with a portfolio showcasing your work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with a strong aesthetic sense and creativity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Passion for flowers and a keen interest in the floral industry is a plus.
