Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
Our team of speech language pathologists works to help infants, children, adolescents and adults reach their full potential in mobility, communication and daily living skills. They work with people who have difficulty producing speech sounds, such as rhythm and fluency problems, stuttering, voice disorders, cognitive communication impairments, or simply those who wish to improve their communication skills. The department's integrated program involves highly trained specialists that may include audiologists, speech-language therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists.
The Clinical Fellow licensed Speech Language Pathologist will provide direct speech-langugage services and consultantion for inpatients and outpatients at medical center locations, homes and contract sites. We are looking for a compassionate individual who will provide excellent patient care and communication skills and is committed to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai'i Speech Pathologist provisional license. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver - AED CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: Clinical practicum experience in pediatrics or acute hospital setting.
