Playfly Sports is looking for an Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations to join our team at Campbell University.  This position requires someone who is highly motivated to contribute to the overall ticket sales and service efforts, passionate about staff leadership and development, and committed to preserving a culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of all employees.     The primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations is to assist the Director of Ticket Sales & Service with all aspects of daily and event operations of the ticket office, and provide exceptional customer service to patrons, university staff and partners. WHAT YOUâLL ACCOMPLISH 
  • Assist with the box office and game day box office operations  
  • Oversee ticket operations for all ticketed sports 
  • Train and supervises ticket office and event staff 
  • Assists Manager with monitoring, coaching and evaluating staff performance 
  • Assists with ensuring thorough understanding and adherence to all policies and procedures regarding public relations, operational goals, accounting standards, confidentiality, NCAA rules and regulations concerning ticket sales and distribution, and computer operations 
  • Oversee the recruitment and training of a part-time staff, with diversity of age, race and ethnicity, gender, experiences, thinking styles, and perspectives; including creating schedules, timecard management, and working with Human Resources to onboard new staff 
  • Supervising work-study students, work award hires, interns or volunteers assigned to this area in accordance with University, Federal and State regulations 
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to manager regarding staff performance management and grievances 
  • Oversee opening and closing of the ticket office during the week and on event days 
  • Prepare and reconcile cash drawers and ticket office workstations for ticket sellers 
  • Ensure staffing levels and day shift requirements are met and assist in selling tickets when necessary 
  • Assist with event day operations, show-related requests, and relocations 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons with general questions, ticket issues etc; in person, over the phone and via email 
  • Manage individual events and works with building staff on assigned events 
  • Reconcile daily seller sheets and maintains overage/shortage reports 
  • Assist in database/spreadsheet maintenance for ticketed events 
  • Create manifests for events 
  • Manage ticket seller payroll 
  • Upload all ticketed sports and other events online 
  • Provide sales and financial reports via AudienceView reporting 
  • Oversee student tickets using AudienceView software including reports and activation 
  • Perform end of year/season reconciliation, annual audit, daily deposits, managing cash and providing financial reporting for ticket sales and income for ticket operations office 
  • Communicate with coaches and student-athletes regarding pass lists, post-season, and general ticket questions 
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
 WHAT YOUâLL BRING
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of ticket operations experience 
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred 
  • Experience with a ticketing system, and CRM preferred
  • Knowledge of AudienceView or similar ticketing system 
  • Knowledge of general ticket office operations with a strong understanding of ticket sales 
  • Organized and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment 
  • Self-motivated and energetic 
  • Detail oriented, with administrative and time management skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to quickly develop positive relationships, work well with others, and comfortable taking initiative 
  • Understand policy implications of accounting rules and cash collection 
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, always maintaining a professional image and demeanor

  • Availability to work outside typical office hours including nights and weekends as needed 
  • Ability to speak, hear, and interact verbally with clients, guests, and university personnel both over the phone and in person at the window 
  • The work is sedentary in nature 
  • Walking, standing, bending and carrying of light office items is required 
  • The work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office environment 
  • May require occasional travel
