Playfly Sports is looking for an Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations to join our team at Campbell University.  This position requires someone who is highly motivated to contribute to the overall ticket sales and service efforts, passionate about staff leadership and development, and committed to preserving a culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of all employees.   The primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager of Ticket Operations is to assist the Director of Ticket Sales & Service with all aspects of daily and event operations of the ticket office, and provide exceptional customer service to patrons, university staff and partners. WHAT YOUâLL ACCOMPLISHÂ
- Assist with the box office and game day box office operations Â
- Oversee ticket operations for all ticketed sportsÂ
- Train and supervises ticket office and event staffÂ
- Assists Manager with monitoring, coaching and evaluating staff performanceÂ
- Assists with ensuring thorough understanding and adherence to all policies and procedures regarding public relations, operational goals, accounting standards, confidentiality, NCAA rules and regulations concerning ticket sales and distribution, and computer operationsÂ
- Oversee the recruitment and training of a part-time staff, with diversity of age, race and ethnicity, gender, experiences, thinking styles, and perspectives; including creating schedules, timecard management, and working with Human Resources to onboard new staffÂ
- Supervising work-study students, work award hires, interns or volunteers assigned to this area in accordance with University, Federal and State regulationsÂ
- Provide recommendations and feedback to manager regarding staff performance management and grievancesÂ
- Oversee opening and closing of the ticket office during the week and on event daysÂ
- Prepare and reconcile cash drawers and ticket office workstations for ticket sellersÂ
- Ensure staffing levels and day shift requirements are met and assist in selling tickets when necessaryÂ
- Assist with event day operations, show-related requests, and relocationsÂ
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons with general questions, ticket issues etc; in person, over the phone and via emailÂ
- Manage individual events and works with building staff on assigned eventsÂ
- Reconcile daily seller sheets and maintains overage/shortage reportsÂ
- Assist in database/spreadsheet maintenance for ticketed eventsÂ
- Create manifests for eventsÂ
- Manage ticket seller payrollÂ
- Upload all ticketed sports and other events onlineÂ
- Provide sales and financial reports via AudienceView reportingÂ
- Oversee student tickets using AudienceView software including reports and activationÂ
- Perform end of year/season reconciliation, annual audit, daily deposits, managing cash and providing financial reporting for ticket sales and income for ticket operations officeÂ
- Communicate with coaches and student-athletes regarding pass lists, post-season, and general ticket questionsÂ
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not requiredÂ
- Minimum of one (1) year of ticket operations experienceÂ
- Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)Â
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferredÂ
- Experience with a ticketing system, and CRM preferred
- Knowledge of AudienceView or similar ticketing systemÂ
- Knowledge of general ticket office operations with a strong understanding of ticket salesÂ
- Organized and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Self-motivated and energeticÂ
- Detail oriented, with administrative and time management skillsÂ
- Excellent communication skills, ability to quickly develop positive relationships, work well with others, and comfortable taking initiativeÂ
- Understand policy implications of accounting rules and cash collectionÂ
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, always maintaining a professional image and demeanorÂ
