The incumbent functions as the executive level Supervisory Physician (Clinical Director) for the Colorado River Service Unit, and is based at the hospital site of the Parker Indian Health Center. The purpose of the position is to serve as the Clinical Director/Chief of Medical Staff and is responsible for the organization, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Medical Services Division.

Directly supervises physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, and other medical services staff, including performance appraisals, department scheduling, approval of leave, yearly trainings, certification requirements and completing recruitment for positions and disciplinary actions. Reviews current staffing, policies/procedures, process for medical services and makes recommendations.
Works on a daily basis with other supervisors formulating management discussions, decisions and policy making. Shares full accountability in management actions.
Handles various levels of routine and special work assignments.
Provides direct patient care within the scope of clinical privileges: Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, and requests and/ or performs diagnostic tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain appropriate information related to each case .Documents patient care procedures thru EHR (Electronic Heath Record) and works closely with allied health professionals.
