Job Description:
This role will be joining the Supply Chain business unit within the organization to build out a new application that supports Product Lifecycle Management for the Global Sourcing Team. This application will be built within a new GCP cloud environment with an emphasis on Google Pub/Sub technology. This application is responsible for tracking all of the steps taken when working with new private brands/products to be sold in across the organization’s retail locations. This is an exciting team to be a part of that is directly affecting the bottom line of the organization

Requirements:
• 5+ years of software development experience within a cloud environment (GCP preferred)
• 5+ years as a Fullstack developer utilizing Java on the backend (Version 11 and above)
• 5+ years as a Fullstack developer utilizing Angular on the frontend (Version 10 and above)
• 2+ years’ experience working with event-driven architecture and Pub/Sub technology in support of messaging systems (Google Cloud Pub/Sub preferred)
• Strong experience migrating and querying data with tools like Google Big Query, SQL, Oracle, etc.

Nice to have:
• Experience working with PLM applications or supporting supply chain/sourcing applications
• Experience utilizing Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience migrating/upgrading legacy applications onto new platforms

Responsibilities:
• Develop and harden the greenfield software application to be deployed into a Google Cloud Platform
• Develop Java based code that will communicate with Google APIs to develop pipelines for the Global Sourcing application
• Develop event driven architecture to scale a distributed system utilizing Pub/Sub technology
• Work with senior level engineers to develop proper design patterns for applications into a new cloud environment
