Job Description
Chase Business Banking operates in over 5,000 branches across the country, providing financial services to approximately 2.5 million business clients. We are the leading bank for small businesses in our key markets, providing deposit and cash management services, payment solutions, and a broad array of lending products to meet our clients access to capital needs.
As a Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Issues Management Associate within the Business Banking team, you will facilitate the execution of Issues and Action Plans for the CAO Organization. You will act as a liaison with the Controls Management Organization, ensuring effective implementation of priority issues related projects and programs. This role requires a strategic understanding of the business operating model, as well as knowledge of risk and control management and mitigation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the execution of the Issues and Action Plans for the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Organization
- Act as liaison with Controls Management Organization
- Partner effectively with colleagues across the firm (e.g. business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology) to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices
- Assist team reduce customer impacts, financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
- Lead by example, with exemplary personal and professional attributes. Inspire confidence in all levels of staff as well as key partners from other functional areas and across all lines of business
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years' of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance
- Demonstrate confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong culture and risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to develop compelling and meaningful executive presentations to drive opportunities and recommendations for improvement
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- General business knowledge, including the ability to understand the business and knowledge of regulation surrounding business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently to effect change; be flexible and adapt to shifting priorities; manage competing priorities to achieve the most effective result; and work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Process analysis and design acumen, including the ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design
- Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills. Detailed oriented, and capable of synthesizing large amounts of data and formulating appropriate conclusions
- The ability to make subjective, informed decisions based on output in order to influence stakeholders and justify decision making
