Summary About the Position: The incumbent performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies, services, and construction for the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, MICC - Fort GREGG-ADAMS. Responsibilities Performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies and services in the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC). Generates, prepares, controls and reviews recurring error reports. Monitors various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information. Updates and maintains the currency of procurement management documents or related information. Supports service functions such as personnel actions, procurement of administrative supplies and equipment, clerical support, records management, mail service, time and attendance administration. Works with situations involving the procurement process from contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Specialized Experience required at the GS-07: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: 1) Working with procurement functional areas and their relationship to other functions, such as inventory management, cataloging, transportation, and supply, 2) Generating a variety of reports and recommending resolution to problems encountered, and 3) Screening incoming purchase request item descriptions for accuracy and adequacy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Applies Technology to Tasks Clerical Contracting/Procurement Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Certification Level 1: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain his certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
