As the Ecommerce and Digital Experience Specialist at Tennant Company, you will play a critical role in driving the organization's online engagement, e-commerce revenue, and business outcomes throughthe My Account authenticated web presence. You will plan and maintain the experience for existing customers on our global website. This highly collaborative role is a member of the Global Marketing Operations team and interacts daily with IT, Marketing Operations colleagues, external agencies, and regional business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce and online account management strategies for global sites.
  • Collaborate with global IT and regional marketing teams to ensure successful execution, results, and course corrections as needed.

Ecommerce:

  • Manage and enhance the ecommerce functionality of the website.
  • Develop and implement effective ecommerce growth strategies to identify and capture new customer base and business opportunities.
  • Regularly analyze and report on ecommerce metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve performance and profitability.
  • Partner with product teams to manage and maintain accuracy of part information on the site, including descriptions, images, list prices, etc.
  • Keep SEO best practices in mind when implementing new e-commerce strategies and enhancements.

Customer Experience:

  • Manage the My Account authenticated site experience
  • Maintain a key focus on the customer experience to ensure a seamless online shopping and post-purchase experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to collect and prioritize customer feedback
  • Develop requirements necessary to deliver web enhancements focused on improving My Account, including order management, invoice management, service requests, and more.

Regional Business Partner Alignment:

  • Collaborate with regional business partners to understand specific needs and requirements.
  • Customize website strategies and initiatives to meet regional business goals while maintaining a cohesive global approach.

Market Trends and Innovations:

  • Stay up to date on e-commerce trends, digital technology advancements, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Experience and Education

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of marketing and e-commerce experience.
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms, tools, and technologies, including online marketplaces, payment gateways, and order management systems
  • Experience with Web technologies/languages such as HTML5, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web servers, etc.is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with platforms and tools such as Adobe Experience Manager, SAP Commerce, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, JIRA, Brightedge, and Google Search Console.
  • Knowledge and experience with SEO, paid search and other digital marketing strategies and techniques for better search engine rankings that drive more traffic.

Interpersonal and Behavior Skills

  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and organized collaborator focused on delivering high volumes of quality work and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in new tools and ability to stay up to date on emerging and ever-changing trends in the industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet the company's collective goals.
  • Self-starter who is passionate and can develop, manage, communicate, and present their own projects as well as set deadlines and work within timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with both peers and executives.
