Writes a variety of written products about criminal justice related programs, projects, and initiatives;
Research, writes, and edits a variety of criminal justice related materials that are complex or controversial;
Ensures that material in existing products is current and that new written products or updates of existing products are accurate, timely, comprehensive, and objective.
Develops, reviews, maintains, and oversees BJA standard language which clearly articulates, interprets, and explains BJA programs, priorities, internal/external processes, and document templates. Shares language with BJA staff to assist in the development of presentations, publications, marketing materials and other resources for the field, and for responding to requests.
Maintains the BJA Style Guide, to include routine reviews and revisions, ensuring alignment with OJP and DOJ requirements. Serves as an expert resource for BJA staff on requirements outlined in the Guide. Ensures all external-facing materials comply with BJA style, templates, and organizational messaging.
