Job PurposeDevelop short-term and long-term plans to fulfill market demands, adhering to facility capacity and constraints. Manage exceptions and additional production planning activities to ensure availability and alignment with the master resource planning (MRP) parameters and supplier contracts. Will support and/or lead projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of required planning activities.
Job Responsibilities- Gain understanding of existing and future capacity plans/constraints at the designated manufacturing plant and distribution center, understanding how production capacity can be adjusted to meet demands.
- Develop the master production plan on a 12-week horizon/1 week/daily release ensuring alignment based upon capacity agreements.
- Manage the master production schedule (MPS) and material requirements planning (MRP) process, resolving exceptions, in accordance with the integrated business planning rules.
- Release production orders in alignment with site agreement. Will review schedule adherence, driving improvement.
- Finite production and capacity planning based on economic batch quality. Will ensure that the Rough-Cut Capacity Plan and planned production exceptions are managed.
- Manage demand exceptions with the Production Scheduler and Supply Planning Manager. Will support and provide analysis to site schedulers as needed.
- Collaborate with Demand Requirement Planner, Sales and Customer Service to understand customer requirements, incorporating request into production plan.
- Balance service level and inventory targets at Distribution Centers, understanding the cost impact on production.
- Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock. Will ensure rework and scrapping of finished goods at the site and primary distribution center.
- Set inventory strategy to include safety stock settings on existing, new and phase-out products.
- Ensure accuracy of master data and proper housekeeping of transactional data.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent.
- 3 years' supply planning experience in the coatings industry or chemical manufacturing.
- Knowledgeable of integrated business planning process and supply planning tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate teams, manage stakeholders, and impact change.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the abiity to identify and analyze issues, providing recommendations for resolution.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience using SAP, Power BI, or related software required.
- Fluent in English.
The compensation package for this position will include a base salary range from $70,000 to $80,000, annual bonus, and employee benefits that are effective the first day of employment.
