What to Expect

A Technical Trainer, Semi Service, supports the Semi Team by providing world class training for our Service Technicians and partners.  You will be involved with multiple programs including (but not limited to) new hire training, new processes, continuing education and cross-training. 

As a Technical Trainer you will be primarily responsible for the conducting of Instructor Led Trainings (ILT) for our Internal and External Service Teams so that our workforce is knowledgeable and adheres to the best practices of the company. This will be accomplished through New Hire Onboarding and continuing education courses. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and tracking technical knowledge and training programs in this role.  

This individual must be creative, proactive, organized, flexible, and results oriented. Must have outstanding communication, facilitation, and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor. 

The ideal candidate must possess a passion for teaching and a willingness to continue their own education as well. 

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver technical hands-on, instructor-led, and virtual training sessions for groups of various sizes, including new hires, customers, and existing employees

  • Keep up to date with current trends in Learning and Development to ensure we are taking advantage of the most up-to-date technologies and techniques 

  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders including Design, Production, Quality, Service Leadership, Instructional Design and EHS teams 

  • Research and remain current on industry trends and data-informed best practices and identify mechanisms to deploy them into the training curricula 

  • Create a knowledge repository on industry best practices and training methodologies to support the development of the technical training team 

  • Identify operational improvements that increase safety, efficiency, and quality 

  • Create a positive work environment by demonstrating accountability, confidence, and commitment 

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in the training field or related area with EV and/or heavy truck service experience preferred 

  • Friendly, clear, strong speaker with composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required with the proven ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex content in both technical and non-technical language depending on audience 

  • Proven time management and organizational skills including strong ability to multitask

  • Up to 50% travel
