Project E&I Engineer

NES Fircroft is actively seeking an experienced E&I Engineer for a contract to perm opportunity with our client, a major Speciality Chemicals Manufacturer with a Plant Location in Kings Mountain, North Carolina This position will be providing E&I Engineering Design support to the site's Capital Projects Team.

Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking a Project Electrical and Instrument Engineer for the Kings Mountain site to provide E&I Engineering design in support of Site Capital Projects.
Primary Position Responsibilities:Lead and participate in safety tailgates, follow client safety work rules and procedures, maintain safety awareness.Design, procure, and startup Process Instrumentation systems such as Control Valves, Flow meters,
Process Analyzers, Burners Control Systems, and other systems.Lead and participate in installation, checkout, startup, troubleshooting, and tuning of new plant process controls equipment.P&ID development, Control strategy, Estimating, SchedulingConstruction Package Design, including location plans, termination drawings, installation details, scope definition, I/O lists, Instrument lists.Electrical specification and selection (Lighting, High, Medium, and Low Voltage Transformer, MCC, Capacitor, VFD)Electrical design, startup, and troubleshooting (Arc Flash remediation, Lighting, Service Feeder, Transformer, MCC, Danfoss and Allen Bradley VFD, Motor controls, ETAP model, Ground fault protection, fuse coordination, Area classification analysis)Opportunities to provide project management support for E&I discipline-heavy projects
Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering strongly preferredMinimum of 10 years experience in an Industrial Plant environment in general process instrumentation design, and low voltage motor controls
Essential Qualifications:In depth knowledge of Excel, Approach, Access, Word, SAPExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, etcExcellent people skills - Customer focusedTeam Oriented
