This position is located in the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), New Mexico State Office, Albuquerque District Office, Socorro Field Office serves as a Maintenance Worker. The primary responsibility is to perform work in a variety of trade areas such as public use water systems, painting, welding, carpentry, plumbing, ground maintenance, forklift operator, and the operation and maintenance of select engineering equipment and vehicles.
Inspect well pumps, tanks, and other water system components to comply with Health Authority requirements
Schedule, implement, or document preventive maintenance according to needs and available resources.
Use carpentry and welding tools to plan, lay-out, measure; create, construct and install frame structures.
Read and interpret written instruction, drawings, designs, blueprints, schematics, sketches, and technical documents to carry out work assignments.
Operate or maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment used to load, unload, or move supplies and materials.
Determine proper tools, materials and staffing to perform repair and maintenance of facilities, grounds, or structures.
