Advanced Practice Clinician Fellow in Acute Care Surgery
3 months ago
We are offering a 12-month post-graduate program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Acute Care Surgery with a targeted start date of May 2025.
The HealthPartners Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship at Regions Hospital, a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, engages APC learners in extensive training within the core services of Trauma, Emergency General Surgery and Surgical Intensive Care, as well as required rotations in specialty areas deemed essential for proficiency. Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, formulating an assessment and plan, and providing necessary treatments and procedures. All work is supervised by an attending physician or APC.
Through extensive simulation and procedural skills training in HealthPartners Simulation Center, as well as lectures delivered by experienced clinicians, didactic sessions compliment the diverse rotations and hands on experiences, offering the APC Fellow the opportunity to develop clinical competence and confidence, critical thinking, interprofessional collaboration and professional growth. This helps APCs successfully integrate into practice at an accelerated rate compared to on-the-job training.
At HealthPartners, you will find a warm, diverse group of people who are committed to helping our patients - and each other. We foster an inclusive environment that encourages new ways of thinking, celebrates differences, and recognizes hard work. We're also committed to living our values. This means you can expect us to be your partner and treat you with dignity and respect. Join our team and make good happen
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, occasional evenings, occasional weekends

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program (Applicants may be in final year of completing this requirement with hiring dependent upon successful completion)

Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota with certification by the NCCPA or licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the state of Minnesota & certified by AANP or ANCC
