Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Develop technical performance requirements for the 5G transport network with the system architecture team.
  • Design transport system architecture, focusing on reliability and redundancy.
  • Lead transport/traffic engineering for network projects, including cell builds, hardware conversions, and fiber initiatives.
  • Create MOPs for integrating transport nodes, cell site routers, and microwave radio devices across multi-vendor platforms.
  • Contribute to innovation, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Negotiate services with LEC, IXC, and CAP carriers.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of Wireless Network experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of wireless network architecture, including Ethernet, fiber optic transport, microwave, and data traffic engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of Optical Networks (OTN, DWDM, ROADM, etc.) and coherent optical transmission technologies (40G/100G/200G/400G).
  • Experience designing and optimizing Microwave backhaul networks, including link budget calculations and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in Pathloss/Aviat tools and writing technical specifications for Dark and Ethernet fiber.
  • Skilled in managing multiple commitments and communicating effectively.
  • Experience with network requirements analysis, deployments, augmentations, and drawing complex system diagrams.


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
