Job Summary:

Performs multifaceted accounting and related functions in such areas as billing, contract review, monthly and quarterly close schedules, and preparations of journal entries associated with revenue, deferred revenue, and A/R.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting customer contracts to drive the calculating, preparing, maintaining, and reconciling accurate and timely customer invoices.
  • Researching with the Engineering Analytics Team to ensure all source data is complete, accurate and on time.
  • Investigating and resolving customer inquiries around billing.
  • Analyzing and investigating fluctuations in monthly usage data.
  • Using judgement to investigate and provide guidance with the preparation of monthly journal entries associated with revenue, deferred revenue, and A/R.
  • Collaborate with various other Revenue Team members to ensure the team's monthly activities are on schedule.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 0-2 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to meet in an office setting once a month.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and not require employment visa sponsorship in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical skills with ability to use judgement to solve complex revenue and billing issues.
  • Able to work independently through job responsibilities and problem solve, but also able to recognize when to seek help.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, ability to work with large files, etc.)
  • Team oriented and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, including parties outside of Finance.
  • Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and effectively present information to managers, peers, and other organizations within the Company.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including contract interpretations
  • Experience with Oracle ERP a plus.

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $52,000 to $78,000.
