Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.
Essential Functions
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Selects appropriate imaging factors and parameters.
- Positions patient and performs imaging. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Creates and maintains employees' schedules
- Initiates counseling and disciplinary action in a timely and supportive manner.
- Manages the workflow of the departments.
- Recommends and manages equipment repair, supply procurement, and equipment modification.
- Reviews protocols annually.

Minimum Education
Associate's degree required
Bachelor's preferred
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Licenses
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)
Minimum Work Experience
3-5 years' experience as a radiography tech required
2-4 years leadership experience highly preferred
