Job Description

Danfoss in Searcy, AR is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join the team. The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to lead plant personnel in initiating and/ or participating in cross-functional projects to accomplish goals associated with safety, quality, productivity, on time delivery and continuous improvement, while focusing on removing cost from the business. The Production Supervisor clearly communicates expectations while consistently holding self and employees accountable for job-related expectations. The Production Supervisor reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

 

  • Proactively implements, promotes, and maintains a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and driving accountability.
  • Aligns workforce to the company vision through workplace practices and beliefs that build trust, mutual respect, and teamwork between employees at all levels of the organization while developing, motivating, and coaching direct reports.
  • Promotes our quality culture which is “I own quality.”  
  • Responsible for on-time delivery performance and continuously focusing on reducing manufacturing lead-time for components and products. Acts as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring continuous improvement programs by applying appropriate DBS (Danfoss Business System) processes

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. In lieu of a degree, 7 years’ experience in manufacturing/logistics related field will be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing people in a manufacturing environment
  • Behaves in accordance with expressed beliefs and values and personally models Danfoss’ high level of ethical standards
  • Raises the performance bar for self and others – creates, promotes, and sustain a high-performance culture
