The Team
We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst to join American Tower’s Information Technology (IT) team. The IT team delivers quality software solutions that provide measurable business value. Day to day you will provide broad functional and technical expertise in the review, analysis, development and implementation of business processes and applications. As a Principal Business Analyst, you will partner cross-functionally to streamline IT processes and improve the quality of customer services.
Responsibilities
What You Can Offer Us
• Lead and advise Business Analysts, sharing knowledge and expertise to assist with application functionality and design.
• Provide cross-functional and technical expertise across multiple business areas, including system and process integration points.
• Provide strategic, forward-looking vision when configuring or customizing solutions to maintain flexibility and future integration opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional requirement sessions to elicit, document and analyze business requirements and functional specifications for complex cross-functional projects; identify unspoken or conflicting requirements and challenge the status quo.
• Lead new product reviews, tests and pilots. Evaluate new products and provide recommendations.
• Conduct peer reviews of project deliverables to ensure high-quality solutions and deliverables.
• Create networks of senior internal and external colleagues to maintain relationships and stay current on industry developments.
• Manage projects and identify issues with timelines or completion of projects; work with Project Management Organization and internal customers to address.
• Maintain project tasks through the production ticket system or project server. Keep Project Manager informed of any issues.
• Create or assist with the creation and execution of cross-functional test scripts to ensure that post-production issues are minimal.
• Facilitate the business and operational readiness for deployment of systems and process changes and introduction of new products.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You Need To Succeed
• Master’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• A minimum of 9 years of professional experience in business analysis, application design, implementation and support or as a super user preferred.
• Experience in the tower industry, operations, leasing or real estate preferred.
• If supporting financial applications, prior experience in finance and accounting environment preferred.
• Approximately 25% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
