POSITION SUMMARY

The Coordinator will be responsible for making high-quality field and student teaching placements for Education students at all levels-undergraduate, Adult Studies, and graduate. In addition to overseeing clinical field experiences, the Coordinator will collect and verify all required clearances and verification forms to ensure compliance with all PDE regulations. The Coordinator will work closely with the faculty and staff in the School of Education to maintain a rigorous supervision program, overseeing the University Supervisors. The role of Coordinator of Clinical Field Experiences requires excellent communication skills in order to establish and maintain connections with local school entities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree preferred
  • PA Teacher Certification preferred
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
  • 2-3 years of related experience in a K-12 educational setting or higher education environment
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database programs
  • Possess and be able to use math skills to provide accurate data collection and analysis
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Occasional attendance at School functions outside of standard work hours
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, balance competing responsibilities, and complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, ability and diversity
  • Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
