Responsibilities
- Complete pricing analysis in support of rate filings, rate level adequacy, profitability, and other actuarial analysis.
- Manage/lead research, data gathering, and analysis as needed.
- Grow and develop team members as appropriate.
- Assist the reserving unit when needed.
- Ad hoc projects as need arises.
- Collaborate with our business partners in Underwriting, Sales, Product Development, and Program Management.
- Communicate results, including insights and initial recommendations within the department and to other departments as appropriate.
- Suggest and implement methodology enhancements and process efficiencies within the department as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate documentation that allows another analyst to understand and recreate the work product.
Salary:$85k - $140k (Starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or another field with a rigorous mathematics background.
- At least 5 years of actuarial P&C experience; commercial filing experience a plus.
- Results-oriented with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when necessary.
- Proficient in Excel and familiarity with SQL and VBA
