Job Summary:HCA s Forward Pathology Solutions is seeking a PRN Pathologist, Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, for our south market to serve the communities of Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties. The position would be based at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, but also serve HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Blake Hospital, and HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital.

Qualified Candidates:

AP/CP certification or board eligibilityAt least three years of hospital-based experienceActive Florida Medical License or eligible to obtainComfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practiceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience building collaborative relationships with hospital staff and referring physicians.Pathology Work Description: Wide range of surgical pathology specimensCytology cases primarily consist of a variety of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA s, and lung FNA s.Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.About Forward Pathology Solutions (FPS):Employs over 170 board certified multispecialty pathologistsProvides professional services to over 70 HCA Healthcare hospitals and Integrated Regional LaboratoriesOur physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomesAbout HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital:HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is a 253 bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Charlotte County and the surrounding areas since 1975Clinical specialties include 24-hour emergency care center, a comprehensive ACoS CoC accredited cancer programJoint Commission accredited Stroke Center of ExcellenceAccredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary InterventionJoint Commission certified Orthopedic and Spine CenterInpatient and Outpatient Surgery with Minimally Invasive Surgery OptionState-of-the-art cardiovascular surgery program
