Barrick is looking for an engaged, inquisitive and passionate Growth Superintendent at the burgeoning world-class Fourmile project. This position will own and drive the Growth strategy to ensure delivery of the drilling to support completion of PFS/Feasibility studies, while owning and updating the geologic models, in conjunction with their team and partners in Exploration. The successful candidate will be expected to enthusiastically lead and develop a team of geologists responsible for creating and executing holistic drill programs that fit with the Barrick-wide Growth and Life of Mine strategy. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of direct leadership experience, with a demonstratable performance history of delivering high-value geologic projects to mining. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Zero Harm through visible felt leadership, stop work responsibility, and other safety programs in place. Supervise, mentor, and train geologists. Ensure development plans are established and maintained for all employees. Drive regular field interactions and core logging by the team. Regular interaction with all site departments to communicate strategy and to create strong working relationships. Delivery of LOM Growth Strategy in collaboration with Exploration with consideration of mining strategy and broader Barrick strategy. Create balanced resource triangle and advance projects from conceptual to indicated status. Drill program and budget creation and management of multimillion dollar program. This includes: supporting and enabling the Growth team to produce high quality, geologically driven targets, manage monthly spend of programs to ensure budget is followed, and understand deviations to spend against budget and update forecast accordingly. Ensure geologic models are following best practices established by the Chief Geologist team. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
At least a bachelors in Geology or related field required, MSc preferred Ten or more years of Mine Geology and/or Exploration experience required Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, business, technical and analytical skills required Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar, multiple-drill-rig programs successfully and safely. Strong QA/QC knowledge required Strong abilities in 3D modelling and database software packages (e.g. Leapfrog, AcQuire, Vulcan, Excel) required Valid driver's license required What We Can Offer You
