Cleaning and Custodial Maintenance

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Daily cleaning, disinfection and maintaining of team/staff locker rooms, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, glass.
  • Maintain facility floors by operating orbital and auto-scrubbers.
  • Minor maintenance and repairs (replace light bulbs, change ceiling tile/carpet tile, painting, hanging pictures, install/repair dispensers, preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment)
  • Work with other maintenance staff in daily general maintenance of the facility.
  • Assist stadium cleaning/maintenance staff as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the janitorial field.
  • Certification and/or knowledge of green cleaning standards a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail is a must.
  • Valid New York State driver license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs to perform job effectively.
  • Experience with commercial cleaning equipment (vacuums, auto-scrubbers, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience cleaning in medical facilities is a plus.
  • Ability to coordinate projects from implementation through completion.
  • Work schedule must be flexible - evenings and weekends required as needed.
  • Anticipated shift times are 3:30pm-12:00am and 10pm-6:30am
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary is commensurate with experience, and will begin between $19-$21 per hour plus overtime
