We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to handle our financial transactions. In this role, you will ensure the prompt and precise processing of client payments. Your responsibilities will encompass reviewing account details, rectifying discrepancies, generating invoices, and performing various administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, strong numerical skills, and a dedication to precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Management: Creating and dispatching invoices to clients accurately and punctually.
- Payment Recording: Documenting incoming payments (cash, checks, etc.) and confirming their allocation to the appropriate customer accounts.
- Debt Collection: Following up on overdue invoices with clients through various communication methods to recover outstanding amounts. This may include negotiating payment arrangements and addressing disputes.
- Account Maintenance: Keeping precise and current records of customer accounts, including monitoring outstanding balances and payment histories.
- Financial Reconciliation: Ensuring that invoices and payments align and that the company's financial records are accurate.
- Client Support: Engaging with clients regarding their account payments, investigating, and resolving discrepancies.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinating with other teams to gather necessary information, maintain updated accounts, and formulate repayment strategies. Assisting with the financial closing processes.
- Reporting Duties: Producing reports on accounts receivable aging.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
- Prior experience in an Accounts Receivable role or a similar capacity
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and best practices
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
