JOB SUMMARY

To provide continuity of supevision and operation of facility during the PM shift assuring that facility policies are followed and that quality of care is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, visitors, personnel, and support agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Make facility rounds on each floor and lower level.

Notify appropriate personnel regarding immediate concerns, communicate all concerns to the Administrator.

May initiate discipline, to be reviewed by appropriate Department Head/Administrator, after investigating situation.

Handle walk in visitors requesting a facility tour or visit.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
