Title: Broker Manager ASM Central -Convenience

Locations: Candidates MUST live in the following locations: Chicago, IL; Bentonville, AR; Minneapolis, MN; St Charles; MO, Kansas City, MO

Travel Requirement: 40% within Central Locations

Broker Manager is responsible for achieving profitable sales growth through management of a 3rd party broker team for the Mars Wrigley business. This role is expected to provide leadership to and maintain strong relationships at every level of the broker partner to execute company and customer plans that deliver objectives of: revenue, growth, profit, and AMPS across the MW every day and seasonal portfolio. Broker Manager Central will serve as the primary point person for negotiating and managing our WAM relationship at a WAM corporate level. As well, this role will establish close working relationships with broker customer management and internal partners to achieve these objectives.

Reporting to the Broker Sales Director, this role is part of the field sales organization.

This role is an individual contributor and interfaces with the broker partner and their customer base.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Understands, articulates and educates the broker partner and customer on all company solutions regarding profitable sales growth for products/assortment (everyday/new products/promoted/seasonal), placement and everyday shelving and merchandising, pricing (everyday/seasonal/promotional), promotion and seasonal merchandising that achieve customer retail objectives, category leadership and company objectives.Sets, measures and monitors the broker on specific objectives in all of these areas on an annual basis; provides clear performance expectations and assessment of annual performance.Completes new product launches at broker customers with timely and effective execution to maximize retail impact.Trains the broker partner/customers to ensure full execution of all agreed to objectives; influence broker partner/customers to implement solutions through fact based presentations that deliver results that are beneficial for both customers and Mars Wrigley Confectionery.Ensure broker partner executes all agreed to solutions with the customers, while maximizing all broker resources.Evaluate/monitor all broker partner solutions and capabilities, continually improve to be more effective and efficient for customer, broker and company.Leverage insights (data analyses, trends, etc.) and resources (internal sales, customer marketing, shopper marketing, etc.) to continually bring new growth ideas to the customer, broker partner and company; incorporate in all broker customer/marketplace solutions.Manage incentive programs; continually improve.Being a critical communication link between broker partner, customer and company to provide feedback on such areas as performance, issues, learning/observations/analysis, problems and deliver recommended solutions.Being a critical communication link between broker partner, customer and company management by disseminating company information and direction to the broker in a timely, actionable manner.Participate in full as a team member of the broker team while sharing broker/customer feedback, tracking broker / customer performance, providing opportunities for learning and analysis, identifying problems and bringing forward potential solutions.Involved in broker partner talent management by participating/influencing in areas such as:Planning broker partner talent needs and selecting broker talent that will be on company business.Setting expectations and overseeing the achievement of specific broker individuals (objectives, monitoring performance and providing on-going feedback).Coaching and directing for optimal performance and achievement of those individuals.Training as needed (from product/company knowledge to best practices to skill set development).
