Washington, United States Department Of State - Agency Wide Full time

Serves as the initial point of contact for all incoming actions from Departmental offices, U.S. embassies/posts, other USG agencies, international organizations, foreign governments, and/or the private sector.
Provides analysis to develop U.S. policy and strategies for economic engagement with Afghanistan.
Participates in meetings with agencies of other governments and multilateral organizations to contribute detailed technical analyses and assessments of complex technical information and alternatives to decision makers.
Drafts policy memoranda and position papers for senior Departmental officials to use in meetings, which include all levels of the USG, the private sector, and representatives of other countries.
At the GS-11 level, the incumbent performs essentially the same duties as outlined above; however, the scope and complexity of assignments are of less responsibility and independence and receives closer supervision than the GS-12 level.
