As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:

Provide high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on moderately complex problems related to operational security.
Lead the implementation of operational security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities, e.g., intrusion detection or access authentication programs. Coordinates the implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes metrics and reporting criteria.
Develop and maintain documentation and effective implementation of all applicable NIST 800-53 security controls, and takes the appropriate steps to reduce, eliminate or mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
Serve as project manager for work efforts involving remediation of vulnerabilities. Monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk. Develops and recommends specific work requirements, priorities, and resource allocations to accomplish the long-range plans of the organization. Coordinates and integrates project activities.
Monitor contractor performance and provides oversight of contractor activities to assure contractors are executing the program plan on time, within budget, and with satisfactory quality. Implements or maintains quality assurance processes. Takes corrective action when problems arise.
Assess security events, system alerts, and technical advisories to determine impact, and implements corrective actions for systems in the organization.
