Director of Data Center OperationsJob Summary
The Director of Data Center Operations in Secaucus is a transformational leader managing a muti-discipline team of individual contributors, supervisors, managers, and is responsible for all customer operations across a multiple site Data Center campus. In this role you will lead projects, direct customer installs and deployments, oversee and guide managers’ financial activities such as budget generation, forecasts, purchase decision evaluation, headcount, capital and expense purview; provide status reports, internal/external customer and interdepartmental communications.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
Lead, manage and develop staff across multiple data centers
Provide and ensure mentorship and career development opportunities
Accountable and responsible for adherence to and evolution of global standards
Manage multi-departmental project teams
Manage and execute internal corporate and technical policies and procedures
Systems Support
Direct team management of all technical services ensuring continuous (7x24) operation of multiple Data Centers
Involvement and leadership in the testing and development of new products
Subject Matter Expert of industry standards (connections, cabling, etc), policies and procedures
Vendor Management
Oversee procurement of vendors
Budget
Oversee Managers’ budgeting
Approve recommendations and pricing with local suppliers
Review and approve proposals for data center improvements
Qualifications:
10 or more years of relevant experience in data center operations or other mission critical facilities operations
5 years or more prior management experience
HS Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $153,000 to $261,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
