About the Role
Cannon Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Weekend CT Technologist to join our team. The Weekend CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans on patients during weekend shifts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality imaging services to our patients. Responsibilities include:
Perform diagnostic CT scans on patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, providing clear instructions and reassurance as needed.
Operate and maintain CT equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and departmental policies.
Position patients correctly and accurately to obtain high-quality images, adjusting imaging parameters as necessary.
Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast agents and respond promptly and appropriately.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to review imaging studies and ensure accurate interpretation and reporting.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including image acquisition and patient history.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including radiation safety and infection control measures.
Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Provide support and assistance to other members of the imaging team as needed.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and education. Hiring compensation ranges from $27.00-$39.15 per hour. Eligible for Work on Weekend (WOW) and shift differential on top of base rate of pay. Eligible for benefits after a 60-day waiting period.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited program.
Current certification and registration as a CT Technologist (ARRT-CT or equivalent) required at time of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required at time of hire.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in radiology preferred.
Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, and equipment operation.
Proficiency in the use of CT scanners and related software systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work weekend shifts as scheduled.
