The Role

The Capital Markets Practice of our Banking and Financial Services Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who.

The position holder will work closely with one of the consulting clients, which is a Global Banking and Financial Services Organization that provides Wealth Management Services. They are embarking on a journey of migrating Wealth Management Data to Cloud and building data products which may be accessed by Client facing applications.

We’re looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant’s industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

· As part of our Management Consulting practice, serve as a Senior Consultant on a large-scale project for an end-client; work directly with a banking client onsite in the Chicago office

· Define the vision and the roadmap for the Wealth Data product

· Maintain and refine the feature and story backlog

· Make prioritization decisions

· Take part in the scrum events

· Coordinate with clients, project sponsors, architects and the technology development teams

· Work with the development teams to deliver the product

· Understand the consuming application needs and track if the product is meeting them

· Incorporate user feedback into refining the features/stories and the Data product

· Analyze the data and define the data quality

· Collaborate with other analysts, product owners, technology specialists in a multi-vendor environment to work towards issue resolution

· Leverage data to understand user behavior and assist in product roadmap revision

· Build and maintain strong collaborative relationship with all stakeholders

Qualifications

· 7+ years of business analysis experience in Capital Markets, withing banking and financial services industry

· Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred, but not mandatory

· Agile Product Owner/Business Analysis experience in the Wealth Management Domain, specifically Wealth Management Data is required for this role

· Basic understanding of SQL and data analysis is required

· Experience of having collaborated with development and QA teams as a PO/BA

· Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model.

· Ability to handle ambiguity and white space

· The ability to work on-site in the client office in Chicago for the duration of the project

· Ability to travel when needed for a project
