If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for supporting a full range of Information Technology Specialist duties within the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, Operations and Resources Division.

Typical work assignments include:

-Managing IT projects across a wide range of technologies, including identity management, cloud solutions, infrastructure, storage, case management technologies, Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) technologies, hardware and software asset management, and the Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPD)-12 program.
-Serving as a Project Manager developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, identifying priorities and barriers to project accomplishment, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, evaluating and reporting on accomplishments, and defining post-implementation support requirements.
-Managing high-priority assignments as directed by leadership (i.e., emergency IT projects, tasks, etc.) and participating in the development of operation and test plans; reviewing and evaluating operations to appraise the effectiveness of policies and programs; integrating systems across IT disciplines; determining deficiencies and recommending appropriate action; regularly researching and developing recommendations for new technologies and/or major modifications to established operations to improve efficiency or operational performance.
