About the team As part of the Trulia Data Science team, you will be an integral partner to the broader Zillow Growth Product team which has a mission to acquire and activate' high-quality users for Zillow Group brands. The Trulia Data Science
team is an impactful ensemble of multiple key business functions including SEO, Integrated Communications, and Onsite Testing that acquire and engage millions of users across our platforms. The Trulia DS team is tasked with organizing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets from various sources to help advise both short and long-term decision-making. Our structure is very flat and you will soon find yourself working directly with Senior Leadership.

You will analyze how customers interact with our several platforms to find their next home, using these insights to advise design and product development. You will provide thought leadership in crafting an outstanding shopping experience for Trulia's users, playing a pivotal role in developing the long-term vision of our product ecosystem. You will have frequent opportunities to share your analyses and recommendations with colleagues across the organization and see the results of your efforts affect millions of people. In this role, you will:

• Partner with product & engineering to help craft a long-term customer strategy.

• Use sophisticated analytics including clustering, propensity modeling, and causal inference techniques to gain a clearer picture of customer behavior.

• Build compelling data stories and visualizations to influence decision-makers.

• Serving as a mentor and resource to other data scientists on the team by hosting learning academies and authoring detailed documentation.

• Design, analyze, and interpret A/B experiments with statistical precision.

• Identify and track business-critical metrics; analyze, measure, and report levers that help move them.

• Collaborate with fellow Data Scientists to build and improve the DS infrastructure (ETLs, dashboards, experimentation platform, tracking, etc.)

• Crear historias y visualizaciones de datos impactantes para influir en los tomadores de decisiones.

• Actuar como mentor y recurso para otros científicos de datos del equipo, organizando academias de aprendizaje y redactando documentación detallada.

• Diseñar, analizar e interpretar experimentos A/B con precisión estadística.

• Identificar y realizar un seguimiento de métricas críticas para el negocio; analizar, medir e informar sobre los factores que influyen en ellas.

• Colaborar con otros científicos de datos para construir y mejorar la infraestructura de Ciencia de Datos (ETLs, paneles de control, plataforma de experimentación, seguimiento, etc.).

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Additionally, you are:

• Creative and enthusiastic about seeking new solutions to problems and opportunities.

• Have an undergraduate or Master's degree in a quantitative field (eg mathematics, engineering, statistics, finance, or similar).

• 4+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis, experimentation and sophisticated problem-solving, preferably in a consumer-facing product.

• A strong understanding of statistical concepts, measurement issues, and inference techniques.

• Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at answers.

• Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, along with some experience with visualization tools and working with terabyte sized clickstream data.

• Experience with ETL pipelines, scheduling and productionalizing. (Airflow, Spark, or similar experience is a plus)

• Ability to think creatively and provide thoughtful, agile insights

• Superb verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill sophisticated issues and detailed analysis into simple, structured frameworks with concrete action plans

• Able to work across silos and influence business partners to set realistic goals and focus on data-driven solutions

• Capaz de articular y traducir preguntas comerciales, utilizando técnicas estadísticas para llegar a respuestas.

• Competente en SQL y Python/R, con experiencia en herramientas de visualización y manejo de datos de flujo de clics de gran tamaño.

• Familiarizado con pipelines ETL, programación y producción (la experiencia con Airflow, Spark o similar es una ventaja).

• Capaz de pensar creativamente y proporcionar información ágil y reflexiva.

• Con excelentes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita, capaz de simplificar problemas complejos y análisis detallados en marcos claros con planes de acción concretos.

• Capaz de trabajar en colaboración con diferentes áreas e influir en socios comerciales para establecer objetivos realistas y centrarse en soluciones basadas en datos.
