We are looking for a key leader with experience in selling services and solutions in R&D Product Engineering, Smart Manufacturing, in the Bio-Pharma and Medical Sector.

The candidate should have industry relationships in Bio Pharma and Med Tech sales experience market leadership, relationship management, and a track record of achieving both Revenue and TCV targets.

The candidate will handle a portfolio of IoT programs, establish and run governance with client collaborators, and run financial and demand forecasts across their portfolio. The candidate will also drive continuous improvements resulting in client value benefits and client strategy to drive growth. This is a true P&L role – responsible for both top line & bottom-line growth.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Crafting sales strategy and plan for pipeline generation in the medical device R&D sector.
  • Responsible for Sales, Solutioning, and Customer Relationship activities for the Life Sciences vertical.
  • Key collaborator management at the client and with Cognizant stakeholders.
  • Management of the account plan, investing time in strengthening existing client relationships and strategic new clients.
  • Proactive proposals and RFP in line with account strategy
  • Partner with internal leaders for solution creation and execution.
  • Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets.
  • Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals.
  • Collaboration with Industry vertical teams, develop strong, long-term relationships with executives.
  • Participate in, and manage the end-to-end sales process.
  • Demand fulfillment, collaborating with HR / Ops, Offshore/Near Shore Teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field
  • A minimum of 14 years of experience with at least 10 years in a Business/ Sales role in Product Engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing across multiple industries
  • Experience with large scale consulting engagements.
  • Significant industry expertise in Medical Device Manufacturing, Smart Product Development, and R&D Engineering.
  • Ability to appreciate and work on 360-degree aspects around a product development life cycle for Medical Devices and related Manufacturing products.
  • Solid technical skills in Product and R&D Engineering Services with the ability to find technical solutions to business problems and engage the potential customer with “consultative selling” is meaningful.
  • Experience selling Engineering Services or R&D groups within the Life Sciences sector.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills are required.
  • Ability to interface at all levels of a client organization, including Product R&D Leaders, Manufacturing Process Leaders, and the C-Suite.

· Knowledge of product and regulatory requirements: GXP Environments is a preferred

· Knowledge of industry trends, customer growth strategies, potential opportunities in various technologies like Embedded Software Engineering, Edge intelligence, Device Engineering, PLM, Mesh Networking, WiFi, technology migrations is a must.
