What you will do:
- Customer Sales and Service:
- Develop trusted relationships with assigned farmer-customers to earn preferred seed supplier status through frequent, proactive customer contact
- Work with seed growers on production contracts, field inspections and crop plans
- Become a certified wheat seed expert and educate customers how to properly position our other related small grains seed products
- Territory Development
- Develop business plan to exceed sales goals for each product line
- Achieve sales goals by product line
- Accurately identify and forecast product needs of customers and manage inventory
- Participate in field days, community events, and other activities that promote Nutrien
- Communicate the value proposition of certified seed and seed treatment to growers
- Implement market development activities, including testimonials, field signs, stand evaluations, pre-harvest evaluations
- Product Knowledge
- Learn the features and benefits of the products to correctly position the best product on the acre for the growers to maximize their profit
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Protection or related. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 1+ years work experience or an industry internship
- CCA preferred, or commitment to work toward CCA
- Microsoft Office or equivalent software knowledge
- Willingness to travel overnight and late evenings
