The Senior Manager, Adult Social Play will lead and oversee Adult Social Play programs and initiatives
- Contribute to the implementation of the Community Tennis strategic plan and Play & Competition Department overall vision and strategy as it relates to Adult Social Play
- Manage and Lead Adult Social Play strategies and programs including, but not limited to, Adult Red Ball and Cardio Tennis throughout the United States
- Provide direction, support and supervision for USTA Manger, Adult Social Play including required personnel reviews
- Collaborate with Committees under the Adult Council including Adult Competition, USTA League, and Tennis on Campus
- Develop strategies and partner with USTA Sectional Associations on Adult Social Play strategies as requested.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Digital, Sales, Facilities and Collegiate Departments to increase engagement, communication, and promotion with USTA League and tournament providers and participants.
- Provide overall budgetary supervision for Adult Social Play
- Serve as a USTA spokesperson as needed for Adult Social Play
- Foster positive relationships with various related organizations, including, but not limited to USPTA, PTR, and other industry organizations
- Support various Adult Competition events as assigned by the Director, Adult Competition
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the tennis or sports industry,
- Minimum 2 years in a management or leadership role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite & G-Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), Adobe Photoshop, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom & Google Meet.
- Proven track record of success working in team environment
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Possess the ability to learn, manipulate, and teach new programs and processes.
- Demonstrated ability in coordination, organization, and data management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Interpersonal & organizational skills - clear, friendly written and verbal communicator with extreme attention to detail.
- The role is designated as "hybrid/flex," allowing for both remote and on-site work. Adherence to current USTA hybrid/flex requirements is essential, with periodic updates from HR informing the most current policy.
