Position Summary

The role is situated within the ITS Client Services department, designated as the Client Hardware Technician. This position entails the configuration, deployment, collection, repair, and refurbishment of all computers owned by MSU Denver. The Client Hardware Technician is tasked with offering hardware support to the university's administrators, faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, the technician is responsible for assessing the condition of the hardware and liaising with vendors regarding warranty claims.

This position resides in the ITS Client Services department as the Client Hardware Technician and is responsible for the configuration, deployment, retrieval, repair and reconditioning of all MSU Denver-owned computers. The Client Hardware Technician will be providing hardware support to the University's administrators, faculty, staff, and students. The technician will also evaluate hardware conditions and contact necessary vendors for warranty claims.

This is a 40 hour a week in person on location job.

Salary

$25.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in a technical support environment.
  • Professional experience repairing and maintaining client computing systems.
  • Professional experience managing hardware assets and peripherals inventory and forecasting client needs.
  • Professional experience configuring, deploying, retrieving, repairing, and reconditioning computers and peripherals.
  • Professional experience provisioning/imaging computer with SCCM, InTune and Jamf.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University.
  • Professional experience in a higher education environment.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Professional experience with Dell and Apple client computing hardware.
  • Professional experience with an enterprise ticketing system.
