Job Description: The Office of Advancement and Communications seeks a dynamic Alumni Relations Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our 50th Anniversary yearlong celebration. This position will focus on identifying, researching, cultivating, and engaging accomplished alumni, highlighting their achievements, and building alumni affinity groups as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth alumni, ensuring their active participation in anniversary events and campaigns.
  • Lead and manage two affinity groups of strategic importance, fostering connections and engagement among alumni with shared interests.
  • Oversee the implementation and promotion of the Faces Campaign, including alumni interviews, profiles, and content creation.
  • Collaborate closely with the fundraising team to plan and execute annual fund solicitations.
  • Prepare for a future capital campaign by nurturing long-term relationships with alumni donors and prospects.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to track alumni interactions, manage data, and analyze engagement metrics.
  • Develop compelling written communications for alumni including newsletters and social media content.
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in alumni relations within a college or university setting, with a strong understanding of alumni engagement strategies.
  • Experience in Annual Fund fundraising is highly desired.
  • Comfort and confidence in engaging with high-net-worth individuals and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with prospect research tools such as DonorSearch and/or WealthEngine preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Blackbaud CRM or similar database systems preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and engaging communications.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach with a demonstrated "can do" attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • This is a part-time position requiring flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening and weekend events.
  • The position is based on-site, involving regular attendance at campus meetings and events related to alumni engagement.

OVERVIEW:

Hudson County Community College serves one of the most ethnically diverse and densely populated communities in the United States. Hudson County Community College has three campuses. The largest campus is located at the heart of Jersey City's Journal Square, which is approximately 20 minutes from New York City. The College has a North Hudson Campus, located in Union City, New Jersey and an additional location at the Hudson County Schools of Technology in Secaucus, New Jersey.
