Join a leading staffing agency, PostJobMatches By WorkStaff USA, as a Remote/Hybrid Associate Electrical Engineer. This role allows you to work in the office two days a week, while the rest of the week can be done remotely. Candidates can be based in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle. Prior electrical engineering experience in California is required.

As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will apply your technical knowledge of building services systems across a diverse portfolio of innovative projects both in the US and globally. Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other engineers as part of a dedicated team.
  2. Produce coordinated detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, and reports for various electrical projects.
  3. Organize technical and financial proposals for new work.
  4. Manage the workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians, ensuring quality verification.
  5. Take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detailed design.
  6. Prepare technical specifications and monitor the financial performance of jobs.
  7. Keep senior staff informed of important service/design decisions and client objectives.
  8. Mentor junior Electrical Engineers and ensure compliance with current legislation and building codes.
  9. Plan and manage personal workload to meet deadlines and client commitments.
  10. Proactively address concerns regarding workload and deadlines.
  11. Contribute to delivering profitable projects while monitoring job administrative systems.

Requirements

  1. 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design within the building services and construction industry.
  2. Preferred experience in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and Stadiums.
  3. Relevant bachelor's or master's degree; Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is desirable.
  4. LEED AP accreditation preferred.
  5. Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with computational analysis tools.
  6. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite stakeholders.
  8. Ability to prepare technical reports for client audiences.
