Veolia Water Technologies Dayton is currently seeking an experienced Offshore Water Filtration Specialist, to work offshore Gulf of Mexico on board our clients Oil production facility on a rotational basis. Start date October 2024. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing operational and technical support for offshore membrane package filtration Losal plant and therefore experience is, Microfiltration, SWRO and SRP operations is required. Knowledge and experience working with HP Pump systems, Vacuum Deaeration systems, process instrumentation and lab analysis equipment are also beneficial. 

The ability to legally work in the United States without a visa sponsorship is a requirement for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting filtration system operational problems
  • System data trending and analysis.
  • Supervisory / Advisory role concerning the efficient running of the client’s operating unit. This will include the evaluation of client operating procedures, supervising and training their site personnel and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Undertaking other duties that the Company may require from time to time when not on leave and not required offshore.

    Job Role

    • Lab - water / chemical sampling and analysis
    • Attend client / head office meetings
    • Follow client specific permit to work 
    • Support client for daily operations as a water treatment technical expert
    • Compliant with offshore oil and gas safety culture
    • Follow client specific procedures
    • The role and responsibilities are to manage on site activities and perform the necessary scope of work to achieve optimum plant performance of the equipment. 
    • Management of all performance related issues, sampling, technical queries and any troubleshooting while on board the offshore facility.
    • Responsible for site coordination of the operational activities and guiding our client on the performance of the Veolia supplied equipment.
    • Work schedule shall be 7 days per week working 12 hour days while offshore. The offshore rotation will be 21 days on and 28 days off. 
    • Providing site daily reports to Veolia and our client(s)
    • Resolving any site technical questions and problems.Qualifications

          Essential Professional Qualities

          • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring they are fully certified to work offshore GOM.
          • Knowledge of membrane systems for the production of potable water or treatment of contaminated water
          • IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft/Google packages
