About ADOC South San Francisco, CA. AmplifyBio is seeking to hire an Associate Scientist, Cellular Immunology to join our growing team
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and experienced scientist with a track record of success in developing and executing a variety of assay formats for characterization and mechanistic assessment of advanced therapies (cell, gene, mRNA) for oncology. This position will report into the Associate Director, Cellular Immunology.
What You'll Do Here:
- Design, develop and execute assays supporting the characterization and mechanism of action of advanced therapies (cell, gene, mRNA).
- Identify and develop new technologies to expand in-house assay capabilities.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data and present results at internal and client meetings.
- Operate in an exceptionally dynamic and cooperative environment.
- Collaborate with a larger cross-disciplinary team of immunologists, biologists, engineers, and bioinformaticians.
- Maintain rigor, quality of execution, documentation, and timelines.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written reports.
We Would Love to Hear from You If:
- A Bachelor's degree with 7+ or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline such as Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or other relevant discipline.
- A background in the development of a variety of assay formats including analytical performance testing to support method transfer.
- Highly proficient with aseptic cell culture techniques and development of cell-based assays using primary human cells and cancer cell lines.
- Experience in multi-color flow cytometry, including panel design and data analysis using FlowJo.
- Experience with standard cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques, including western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, molecular cloning, PCR, etc.
- Data analysis skills, including a sound comprehension of statistical concepts and experience using analysis software such as GraphPad Prism or JMP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
