Role: MS SQL DBA

Location: Houston, USA.

Required Qualifications:

We are seeking an expert Infra Ops Specialist with a focus on database administration to join our team. With a minimum of 11 years and a maximum of demonstrated ability the ideal candidate will have a good background in MS SQL Server Administration. This role is essential in ensuring the stability integrity and efficient operation of our information systems that support core interpersonal functions.

  • Lead all aspects of the daily operations of our database systems to ensure efficient performance and reliability. Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive information. Conduct regular system audits to identify and rectify any issues. Collaborate with the IT team to develop strategies for database growth and scalability.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to junior team members. Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss. Keep abreast of the latest developments in database management technologies and standard processes. Optimize database systems for maximum efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Facilitate the migration of databases to new platforms or upgrades as vital. Monitor database performance implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with database security backup and recovery techniques. Familiarity with cloud services and database migration strategies is helpful. A dedication to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to less expert team members. Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools is a plus. Understanding of IT infrastructure and its relation to database systems.
