We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's growing team in Meridian. This is a full-time onsite position. In this role, you will play a vital part in our financial operations, handling various accounting functions and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the compliance and controls team to implement and maintain internal controls.
  • Participate in monthly financial close, consolidation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Assist in monthly reporting and analysis activities.
  • Engage in annual external audit and statutory audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and implement new standards as needed.
  • Act as a business partner to the organization, addressing functional questions and interactions.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of general accounting principles, including leases, fixed assets, costing, payroll/compensation, and allocations.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement accounting process improvements to align with company goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with 1+ years in public accounting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and GAAP (US and international).
  • Proficiency in change management and critical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience with external audit firms and preparation of external financial statements preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills; experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is advantageous.
  • Process improvement and project management skills are a plus.
