Columbia Property Maintenance is an established construction company that provides high quality, innovative, and sustainable building solutions for residential and commercial properties in the Vancouver area. We are currently looking for an experienced construction helper to join our team. You will play a vital role in the construction, maintenance and repairs of various structures, renovations, and upgrades of buildings, while ensuring workmanship is to the highest standards of safety, quality, and craftmanship

Extra consideration if you can match texture (popcorn, knockdown, orange peel). Starting between $18-$23 an hour and will revisit after 90 day probationary period

Job Description-
Cleaning: Removing debris and hazards, and cleaning work areas and equipment
Supplying: Providing tools and materials
Carrying: Moving materials to work areas
Following instructions: Following construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
Assisting: Helping craftworkers with their duties, learning/performing trade requirements including; painting, sanding, framing, crawl space work, attic space work, decking, fencing, siding, drywall and so forth.

Requirements-
Minimum of 3 years proven experience in construction
Knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands for the job, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing and walking
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent communication skills. Must speak English fluently. Many customers need to communicate with you
Be able to work unsupervised
Knowledge of safety protocols
Reliable transportation to and from the job site
