Job Summary:

Coordinate the work for the Architects with Engineers and EGS to best prioritize and utilize the team most efficiently. This will be a working Lead position and the candidate will be expected to not only manage the work flow but also review and check drawings for quality assurance and originate deliverables on critical tasks. Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to EGS. #LI-SB1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure assigned design architectural scope is performed in a manner which is compliant with procedures, high quality, applicable codes and regulations applied, timely, cost-effective and to a professional standard by those under their supervision.
  • Act as alternate inter-discipline interface for EGS.
  • Provide critical reviews for other disciplines vendor submittals.
  • Provide coaching and direction to less experienced Architects to enhance their skills and help them support the design effort.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. in Architecture from an accredited university and 13 years progressive related experience? (In lieu of degree, 19 years progressive related experience)
  • Prior experience working in a Nuclear Quality and Safety Environment.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be a US citizen

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Licensed Professional Architect 
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel NS&E Process and Procedures.
  • Very knowledgeable with IBC and NFPA Life Safety codes
  • Possess working knowledge of Bechtel NS&E schedule & budget processes.
  • Has received EGS or supervisor training
